It seems like only yesterday that I was bringing my little bundle of joy home from the hospital. And now he’s four! Time can really get away on you if you’re not careful. That’s why it’s so important to capture as many moments as possible. For your viewing pleasure, I captured some special shots of Connor’s 4th birthday party at Uncle D & Aunt J’s house.

Connor and his favorite girl cousin did some sliding before the actual party began. There is a hill at the back of their property which is perfect for small people.

Ready, Set, Go!

What can I slide on next?

Eventually, he was lured into the house by the temptation of balloons. After a fruitless search in Listowel for Cars balloons, Uncle D came to the rescue. He picked up two large mylar balloons for Connor’s big celebration. One was Towmater and the other was Lightning McQueen. I was thinking he went a little overboard, but he said the smaller balloons were hardly worth putting helium in. Someone is a sucker for a little boy! That little boy thought the balloons were wonderful.

Giving Lightning McQueen a kiss.

It’s always fun watching Connor open presents.

Hooray - Thomas books!

Special delivery from Grandma and Grandpa.

After presents we enjoyed the typical kids birthday meal of hotdogs and then moved on to the cake. I’m a much better cake decorator in my mind. Connor thought it was great and since his opinion was the only one that really counted, I decided it looked okay.

One big blow!

The birthday boy was served first.

Sporting Party Hats and Eating Cake

Funny how quiet it can be when people are eating something they like. That cake must have been good because it sure was quiet (for a little while)!

We had a terrific time at the party. Thank you very much to Aunt J and Uncle D for hosting!
